Rustic charm
Set at the northern entrance to Marstrand, Sillsalteriet rises like a monument to one of the island’s great eras – the herring period.
Rustic timber beams, a private jetty and a grand crystal chandelier create a unique and exclusive boathouse atmosphere. Just outside, boats drift slowly past.
A pre-dinner drink, a wedding toast or a coffee break here becomes something more – an experience of rare character. Step out onto the jetty for a quiet moment, with the sea stretching out before you, gulls calling in the distance and the sun setting behind the cliffs.
As the evening draws to a close, you can almost sense the echoes of history – gently carried with you as you leave by boat.

Includes boat transfer from the hotel/Marstrandsön to Sillsalteriet and return. Departure at 15:45 from either Marstrandsön or the quay by the hotel (approx. 10 minutes). Return at 01:50 to the hotel.
